Find someone in ICE custody (Online Detainee Locator)

Use ICE’s online locator to search by A-Number and country of birth, or by name + DOB. If you’re not sure, start anyway—partial info can still help.

  1. Click Open ICE Locator (it opens in a new tab).
  2. Try A-Number first if you have it.
  3. If not, use name, country of birth, and date of birth.
  4. If nothing appears, try alternate spelling, remove middle names, or try a prior name.

Tip: If you see an A-Number, it often looks like A123456789. If the locator shows no match, it may mean the person is in another system, newly processed, or the info entered doesn’t match.
