J. Alexander (“Alex”) Short is the Managing Attorney of Lehigh Valley Immigration Law LLC, where he represents families, workers, and employers in complex immigration matters with skill, compassion, and dedication.

Alex earned his Juris Doctor from Penn State Dickinson Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Politics and American Government from the University of Virginia. Before law school, he served as a U.S. Congressional Page — an experience that deepened his commitment to public service and the principles of justice that guide his practice today.

He is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania. Alex is also a proud and active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), where he continues to engage with fellow practitioners on emerging issues in immigration law.

Drawing on years of experience in both family-based immigration and employment-based sponsorship, Alex has built a reputation for delivering thoughtful, strategic, and client-centered representation. His practice spans the full spectrum of immigration law, including humanitarian relief, removal defense, and business immigration, serving clients throughout Pennsylvania and across the United States.
