J. Alexander ("Alex") Short is the Managing Attorney of Lehigh Valley Immigration Law LLC, where he represents families, workers, and employers in complex immigration matters with skill, compassion, and dedication.
A former prosecutor, Alex brings rare insight into crimmigration — the intersection of criminal and immigration law — building strategies that protect clients whose immigration status is affected by criminal history. He appears before USCIS, EOIR, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and federal courts, with an emphasis on transparent communication and practical strategy.
Alex earned his Juris Doctor from Penn State Dickinson Law, where he co-founded the Dickinson Law Addiction Legal Resources Team and published in Harvard Law School's Bill of Health blog, later referenced in the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. Before law school, he served as a U.S. Congressional Page — an experience that shaped a lifelong commitment to public service. He is dedicated to keeping families together and helping businesses hire and retain global talent.
