App data
Civics 128 does not send your study progress or settings to the developer. The app has no app account, advertising, third-party analytics SDK, or developer-operated server.
Information stored on your device
The app uses local preferences to save your language, state selection, onboarding completion, audio preference, and any representative, senator, governor, or capital that you enter. It also saves learned questions, missed questions, practice interview results, study streaks, and your optional interview date.
The developer cannot access these preferences through the app. Your device's backup and restore settings may include app data. Reset progress clears study results and streaks while preserving preferences and purchases. Deleting the app removes its local app data; device backups may retain earlier copies.
Internet access and purchases
The study questions and vocabulary are bundled and available offline. The app communicates with Apple's App Store services to load product information, make or restore purchases, and verify the full-version entitlement. These operations may require an internet connection. Some speech voices may need an initial download through iOS.
Apple processes the one-time purchase. The app receives StoreKit product and transaction information to determine whether the full version is unlocked; it does not receive your payment-card details. Apple's handling of purchase information is described in Apple's privacy policy.
Links and support
Tapping an external link opens a website in your browser. Official government resources and the support and privacy websites operate under their own privacy policies and may receive normal website request data. App study progress is not attached to those links.
If you choose to contact support by email, the support provider receives the email address, message, and attachments you send and uses them to respond. Do not send immigration case documents or payment details for routine app support.
Children
This app is designed for people preparing for a naturalization interview. The app itself does not collect personal information from children or adults.
