Guidance is designed to be private by default. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version

Guidance collects nothing about you. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. What you do in the app stays on your device.

Information we collect

None. Guidance does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information. Specifically:

  • We do not require or offer an account, email address, or login.
  • We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools of any kind.
  • The moods you select, the words you type, and the passages you save are stored only on your device and are never sent to us or to anyone else.

How your words are handled

When you type how you're feeling or select a mood, that input is processed entirely on your device to find a fitting passage. It is not transmitted off your device and is not stored by us.

Scripture content

All Bible passages in Guidance are quoted from the World English Bible, which is in the public domain. This content is included in the app and is available offline.

Links to other services

Guidance offers optional links to read passages in context, compare translations, or explore commentary. These links open external websites (such as BibleGateway and BibleHub) in your browser. When you follow such a link, you are subject to that website's own privacy policy. We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, the content or privacy practices of external sites.

Notifications

If you turn on the optional daily verse notification, it is scheduled locally on your device. No information is sent to us to deliver it, and you can turn it off at any time in the app's settings or your device settings.

Children's privacy

Guidance does not collect any information from anyone, including children. The app is suitable for all ages.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Because the app collects no data, any changes will relate to clarity rather than to new data practices.
